htpdate - HTTP Time Protocol client
SYNOPSIS
htpdate
[ -h ]
[ -a ]
host
[host]
[...]
DESCRIPTION
htpdate
sets the system clock using the using "HTP" (the HTTP Time Protocol)
from remote web servers.
OPTIONS
-h
-
Print out help information.
-a
-
The
-a
option tells
htpdate
to attempt to slew the time to the correct value rather than setting it. The default is to set it.
host
-
Query the webserver specified by
host
to update the time. Many hosts may be specified, but atleast one is required. The
host
parameter can be in the format of hostname:port.
