"Falaba Torpedoed!" The British Passenger "Falaba" liner was sunk on March 28, 1915 in the Irish Sea. The ship was victim to the new German weapon called a "U-Boat" or a "Submarine." The Germans refused to issue warnings when they were about to fire their weapons on ships because the new ships would become exposed to enemy attack. 103 people died in the incident, including 1 American. President Woodrow Wilson, and the international community, is outraged with Germany for attacking neutral ships. And America threatens Germany with war. Germany ignores the American request for warnings before firing on ships and leaving neutral ships alone. |
